Do you enjoy making things? I LOVE making things. Especially if it is going to save me time, money and reduce toxins in my home.

I have put a fun event together and it is happening every month. The last Friday of the month we will gather on Zoom for a Make & Take. What the heck is a Make and Take? We Make stuff together and you Take it home.

Get Registered by following this link to calendly or TEXT me “maketake” to 661.235.0707.

Tired of Zoom and live local? Stay tuned . . . In person activities are opening up and I will be adding some in person events.

Current doTERRA loyal customers will get supplies for the Make & Take every month for FREE. This is my way of saying thank you for being an awesome customer and making sure you know how to use those oils you are purchasing.

This is a more the merrier event. Invite your friends and let’s make stuff. If you have any requests for future Make & Take’s let me know!

February 2021 Make & Take

For our first event of the year we are making a DIY candle with beeswax and a room spray.

Why beeswax? There are two things you do not want in your candles. The first is paraffin. Paraffin releases carcinogenic soot when burned. The soot can also cause respiratory problems and will aggravate the conditions of those who already have asthma, lung, or heart problems. Beeswax is a clean burning wax and free of toxic chemicals.

The other is synthetic scents typically labeled as “fragrance.” Many candles are scented with synthetic oils which release microscopic particles that can cause health problems when inhaled. We will be using pure essential oils.

Pure Essential Oils

I beg you! Please do not use essential oils that are not pure. The essential oil industry is loosely regulated when it comes to labels and marketing. This is why I use doTERRA essential oils. Every batch is third party tested and those tests are available for all to see. You may have found an essential oil brand that you love. I ask you to please do your research and make sure they are tested for purity and you have access to the results.

One more request! I linked to Amazon for supplies because I know it is easiest for most people. Free shipping and your order arrives in a couple of days. I totally get it! I love Amazon and its conveniences. BUT FRIENDS DON’T LET FRIENDS BUY THEIR OILS ON AMAZON. They are most likely adulterated. Which totally defeats the purpose of essential oils and their amazing health benefits.

If you would like to purchase doTERRA essential oils visit my.doterra.com/terrifoster or attend my essential oils master class.

Candle Supplies

For the candles I chose cosmetic grade beeswax because I want to also use it for DIY body lotions (maybe next month’s Make & Take). It is also available in white beads. Make sure you are getting 100% beeswax.

Spray Supplies

Vivaplex is my favorite brand of essential oil accessories such as roller bottles, spray bottles, scrub jars, etc… I find they are high quality and do not leak. Choose the size spray bottle you like. Keep in mind we are making sprays without chemical preservatives. You won’t want to make too much in advance unless it is something you use often. I linked spray bottles in multiple because I promise you are going to want sprays for everything once you see how easy it is to whip one up.

I can’t wait to Make and Take together. Reach out to me with any questions at terri@iambionicwoman.com or text me at 661.235.0707
