Year of Healthy

Anyone else excited to start 2021? I am excited to commit 2021 to a Year of Healthy habits. The key to feeling our best is in the consistent habits we commit to daily.

When we focus on small, daily improvements they become daily habits. According to Wikipedia, a habit is a routine of behavior that is repeated regularly and tends to occur subconsciously. The American Journal of Psychology defines a “habit, from the standpoint of psychology, [as] a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing, or feeling acquired through previous repetition of a mental experience.”

1. Nutrition

Nutrition is the foundation to health and vitality.

2. Movement

Daily movement is critical to our cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems.

3. Rest and Stress Management

Quality sleep and rest have a direct impact on our ability to live a healthy lifestyle.

4. Reduce Toxins / Clean Living

“Toxic load” refers to the volume of toxic substances that have been accumulated in the body at any given time and the overall burden it places on the body systems and vital organs.

Switch and ditch some of the toxic products you are using around your home to reduce toxic load.

5. Self Care

Self care is health care. These are the actions we take for our health.
